Many things in one post

Hello!
Do you use  small cuts in your projects? I do. Making my daughter quilt I decided to use cuts from one patch  to make another one and what I got

... funny butterflies

I made them from the cuts shown  on the photo above and embroidered around.

... suppose this patch looks more attractive then a patch with simple squares

Another one my studying process is Irish crotchet. This is my first attempt and in spite of it these flowers and leaf look properly. I made the photo on the linen which was bought in the craft show in Rose hill, Sydney. I were there last Saturday. I couldn't say that I got an unforgettable experience because the similar shows in Russia look richer because of Craft supplies galore and huge quantity of craftsmen. But only the thing that I must note that all the handmade things on this show were unique and made in excellent quality. I was glad to see some quilts and knitted things.  I met many talented craftsmen here in Australia which don't want to participate in the same shows and I don't know why, they make so unusual things which could be loved by other people.
This stuff is a berry necklace. I made it in a hippie style. All the part of it are tatted.

Thank you for your visit. Enjoy your crafts see you soon.

New quilt (1st block)

Hello dear readers!
Recently I made an announce about my new learning process (whitework embroidery). Today I want to show you some results of it. Together with this learning process I started another one to apply my embroidered stuff. This process is a blanket for my daughter's bedroom.  The photos bellow are for the first block.
This is the blog with clover leaf with small and cute lady bug. This picture shows the embroidery more detailed. When I started this embroidery I used only books but some moments were not clear and I started searching on the Internet any blogs about white work and pulled thread embroidery. I found 2 beautiful blogs one of them in Germany and another one in Italia. First blog is about Schwalm Whitework,  another one is about Italian needle-making lace. Both of them are very interesting.

Thanks for your visit.Enjoy your day. See you soon.

Foxes' pillowcases and new tatting project

Hello dear readers!
These New Year holidays were very busy. My mother in law were with us here and we were traveling a lot and I didn't have enough time to sew. In spite of this hot time I could complete my  pillowcases, so here they are

I love them a lot because I like the orange color. The foxes' personage for these pillowcases came to my mind when I saw my friends' dog, I love this dog so much and she looks and behaves like a fox.
When we were in the eastern part of Sydney I found an interesting fabric shop, prices there were reasonable and I bought fabric for tunic and dress for my daughter. As decorative element for the tunic I decided to make tatted lace. So I've started the process and made one element.
The pattern for this element I took here. This blog belongs to a very talented  woman. Thanks her a lot for this pattern. I couldn't say that it's very easy pattern, it's necessary to know how to make a cluny leaf. I specially took a lesson for it last week. So it's not difficult when someone explain. I've got a good explanation, many thanks Lyall, my teacher.

Thank you for your visit. I'll appreciate your comments. See you soon.

Summer is running

Hello dear readers!
I like this time here. Everybody prepares for Christmas. It's slightly strange for me because Christmas in European part of the world is  time for snow, cold, ice and other winter stuffs. As for Christmas here  it's time to collect fruit harvest. So all the things which I'm making at the moment reflect both summer and winter moods simultaneously. Today I want to show you a case for sun glass, I used for this case cotton Moda fabric, glass beads, and tatted decorative details.

Yesterday my hubby and I were in the market and bought my lovely sort of mangoes. This sort is usually appears later than other but it's the best one.
Thank you for your visit. See you soon. Enjoy your day.

Free quilt pattern

Hello!
As I told earlier my dear hubby presented me the new quilt-design software (EQ7). It's an interesting program but as all the special quilting software it has an advantages and disadvantages. I'm not a professional I've made only one big project  but if someone is interested in any review about this software and the bigger size pattern don't hesitate to ask me.  It's very friendly software and it took 2 days to clear how it works. Now let me introduce a new one patch quilt. Here it is:
The measures of this quilt is 109.500 x 88.603 (ins). It's made from 1/2 inch hexagons. This program allows to evaluate quantity of fabric. The table bellow shows it.
So it's an useful software and my first project with it. Thank you for reading. See you soon.
