Foxes' pillowcases and new tatting project

Hello dear readers!
These New Year holidays were very busy. My mother in law were with us here and we were traveling a lot and I didn't have enough time to sew. In spite of this hot time I could complete my  pillowcases, so here they are

I love them a lot because I like the orange color. The foxes' personage for these pillowcases came to my mind when I saw my friends' dog, I love this dog so much and she looks and behaves like a fox.
When we were in the eastern part of Sydney I found an interesting fabric shop, prices there were reasonable and I bought fabric for tunic and dress for my daughter. As decorative element for the tunic I decided to make tatted lace. So I've started the process and made one element.
The pattern for this element I took here. This blog belongs to a very talented  woman. Thanks her a lot for this pattern. I couldn't say that it's very easy pattern, it's necessary to know how to make a cluny leaf. I specially took a lesson for it last week. So it's not difficult when someone explain. I've got a good explanation, many thanks Lyall, my teacher.

Thank you for your visit. I'll appreciate your comments. See you soon.

Gifts

Hello in the New year!!!

This is the first post in 2015. All the gifts were given and now I can show you some of them. I made two pillowcases for my relatives and friends. Here they are
This one is for our good friends and their dogs. I love them so much. Making this pillowcase I tried to print on fabric in the first time.
For the pillow bellow I used the permanent sticks ( Pentel) to make the picture. Hope it's washable.

 See you soon.

Spring projects

Hello all!
Spring is surfing and getting warmer. I have new visitor in my balcony garden, it's a ladybug.

Before my family came here all the family members had had a birthday in other seasons. My daughter and I for example have had a birthday in autumn, now in spring, as for my husband, he is luckier when we are because he has a birthday in Aussie summer. So I wrote this because we have my lovely daughter's birthday party this Monday and we meet our dear friends which live far from us and visit us on this happy day. I decided to give him some presents and one of them is bellow. This is sun glass holder for stylish lady who loves rose and violet colors and polka-dots cloths.
As for my current projects I'm about to complete the sly fox pillow covers and make patterns for them. I use quilting, back stitch embroidery, applique and other ways of handcraft  in this project. Please see it soon here.

Thank you for your visit. Enjoy your day.

Hexagon butterfly pillowcase

Hello, as I've announced before I'm in a making process of new pillowcase. I have unusual Tempura pillow (butterfly shape) and I can't find the appropriate cover for it. So I like hand quilting and decided to make one side of my pillowcase from one inch hexagons and here is the result:

I used English paper piecing method to connect all the hexagons. So I hope to complete it soon. Have a good day, thank you for reading.
